I'll Give you a Topic...Global Warming...Discuss...
Last night the boycott of going to Wallie World was broken! (by me) I'm lame. I went to Wal-Mart. Sue me. It's been a looonnnggg time since I set foot in a Wal-mart. Really, I'm that cool. The protest is semi-over because of the vision I had of lots and lots of Halloween candy and stuff. I digress.
I read a book called Nickel and Dimed last summer and Wal-mart pissed me off after I read that. Believe me, you can get by in life without having to go there even though it's primarily the only place to shop locally in this small town. Those poor Wal-Mart employees! I boycott other places too, but I won't get into that, for one may be disturbed by the rambling of my boycotting huge franchises. Economically, I feel that we should support our local shoe, hardware stores, etc. and quit employing people from other cities damnit!! They commute to work here and then just take their paychecks home and spend them in their city. To me, this is dumb. Alright. That would make for a great editorial in the newspaper...probably already been in it... Anyway, I stood in the magazine section and read about Popular Science, Interior design, Mysteries of the Bible (I bought this one) and so forth. I was hanging out with the kids reading the turbo car magazines. Not really, but they were grabbing the "Too Fast Too Furious" kind of car magazines and I just think it's hilarious when you see a spoiler on a 1982 piece of crap Honda Accord. On top of that, there are lightening streaks airbrushed on the side of the car or some extra added feature to make it look and sound fast. Man, to be so hip. So, I continue looking at the magazines. One of the articles in the Popular Science magazine was about how our houses will one day be like Legos? We'll be able to just click and piece them together? That is, if Global Warming doesn't create a mass extinction while we twiddle our thumbs according to another science magazine. That just scares me. I'd like to know more about Global Warming....I think I'll educate myself on this topic even further....I didn't spend much money in there (applause)....Fun times hanging out with the turbo kids and stealing pumpkin carving ideas...wow.
